Costs and charges

We have one tiered charging structure that is based on the value of all products held on the investment platform, and the percentage charge reduces as their assets grow. It is known as:

  • the Service Charge on the ISA, Junior ISA and Collective Investment Account, and
  • the Product Charge for the Collective Investment Bond and Collective Retirement Account.

Clients can benefit from family linking, meaning we base the percentage charge they pay on the total value of Quilter's platform investments held by themselves and all family members linked.

CashHub savings could also help reduce the charges paid on your clients’ platform investments. Service and platform charges do not apply to CashHub savings, however the total amount of savings held on the CashHub will be included in the total amount invested when calculating the charging tier.

Unlike some other providers, Quilter does not make any additional charges for wrappers or transactions such as withdrawals, re-registration, or switching unit trusts and OEICs.

We believe that investment decisions should be driven by customer needs and financial objectives and should not be influenced by the threat of additional charges.

We’ve partnered with experienced stockbroker, WBS Solutions Ltd, to provide a competitive and straightforward service with a dealing charge based on how the trade is instructed, as follows:

Trades inside a model portfolio

  • £1 per asset being bought or sold

Trades outside a model portfolio

  • £3.50 for trades valued at £10,000 or less.
  • 0.035% for trades valued at more than £10,000
  • £15 cap per asset trade

Please note, stamp duty* and a PTM levy** apply when trading investment trusts.

* Stamp duty - HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) charges stamp duty of 0.5%.
** PTM levy - £1.50 applies to each investment trust trade valued over £10,000.

The platform offers flexible adviser charging functionality, allowing you to take fees on an upfront, ongoing or ad hoc basis, by specifying a percentage or monetary amount. VAT can also be added on to your servicing fee.

Fees are not available to be taken from the CashHub.

Client’s will not be charged directly for opening savings accounts on the CashHub. The charge for the CashHub is taken as a share of the interest.

Bondsmith will take up to 0.25% of the interest rate and from that  pay Quilter a distribution fee of up to 0.15%. This is deducted before the interest rates are displayed on screen.

There are no charges for any other transactions, such as top ups or withdrawals, on the CashHub.
