Money needs a plan. Here’s where to start

Money doesn’t make decisions on its own. Left sitting in cash, it quietly loses value. That’s why money needs a plan. It’s not about being wealthy or knowing all the answers – it’s about giving your money direction. And in the UK, many people miss out simply because they don’t take that first step.

  • Most people in the UK save sporadically or leave money sitting in cash – missing out on growth.
  • Planning gives peace of mind. It turns uncertainty into clarity.
  • The earlier you start, the more powerful the impact – but it’s never too late.
  • Quilter’s purpose is to help build brighter financial futures. That starts with a plan.
  • Investing always carries risk. Investing can help your money grow over time, but the value of investments can go down as well as up.

Making your money work for you

Why investing matters

  • Lazy money loses value over time – inflation chips away at it.
  • Investing little and often helps your money grow without needing to be an expert.
  • A plan helps you stay focused and avoid reactive decisions.

Inflation and ‘lazy money’

  • Inflation quietly erodes the value of your savings.
  • £10,000 in cash today could be worth significantly less in 10 years.
  • Investing helps protect your money from inflation and grow it over time.

I am a financial adviser with more than two decades of experience, supporting individuals and families feeling more confident and in control of their financial decisions. I’m committed to breaking down complex information into something clear and manageable, helping clients focus on their priorities and move towards a secure and stable future.

I believe financial planning works best when it's built on trust, transparency, and an open, collaborative relationship. My approach places you firmly at the centre of every conversation, ensuring you always feel informed, empowered, and supported. No matter what life brings, I’m here to guide you with clear, straightforward advice - so we can navigate any challenges together and keep you moving toward the future you want.

Outside of work, I love walking coast paths, spending time on the beaches, and swimming in the sea whenever I can. Family means everything to me, I’m married with two grown up children, and being with them is what keeps me centred and motivated.

The combination of my experience and my desire to really understand people influences how I work. I aim to offer dependable, thoughtful advice that leaves clients feeling heard, supported, and secure in their financial plans.
