Financial Planning Consultant DipPFS in Essex

A little bit about Matthew

My name is Matt, and I’m a Financial Adviser based in Chelmsford, primarily serving clients across Essex and London. I take great pride in building strong, lasting relationships with my clients. My goal is to ease the stress that can be associated with financial planning and to help clients achieve both their short- and long-term financial ambitions.

Outside of work, I’m a keen sportsman — I’ll try my hand at most things, but particularly enjoy cricket, football, and, more recently, padel. I’m also recently engaged and enjoy travelling and discovering new restaurants.

Spend wisely and save smartly

June can be one of the best months of the year with summer well and truly on the way. But with all those holidays, weddings, anniversaries, and other spending, it can also be one of the most expensive too.

While you should be focusing on the present, it’s also important to be aware of how major outlays now can have a significant impact on your financial security in later life. A cashflow model can give you a clear picture of the consequences your spending and saving can have on your future.

It’s also good to know about the ways you can use your tax-free allowances wisely on certain expenditures. For example, your gifting allowances can let you pass on up to £3,000 a year to your loved ones without it being added to the value of your estate.*

Together, we can make a plan to help you live your life to the full now, while still having the retirement you want later on.

Client A

I wanted to learn how to invest my money and save better for the future. I opened an ISA account and Matthew guided me on how much to invest each month, taught me the foundations on how to plan my finances and set myself up for a better future.

Client B

I had a recent consultation with Matthew regarding: how I invest my inheritance sum and pension situation etc. I have to say Matthew is very personable, knowledgeable and professional. He gave me sound advice which equipped me with choices on how to invest going forward. I will most definitely use him again very soon.

Client C

I honestly could not recommend Matthew enough. Matt was thorough, clear and had excellent attention to detail. As a young, female professional I was anxious about the prospect of gaining financial advice, however Matthew took his time to break it down, bringing it to life in a way that made it extremely clear for me and relieved any anxieties.

Client D

Provided knowledge and information and I felt that he had listened and noted the information that I had and did provide regarding my call. I had made the appointment through my union, Usdaw, so thought that this would be more of a courtesy appointment and that I would be pushed to make more appointments, but this was not the case. Mathew went through the questions I had and at no point did I actually feel that I was being pushed for time and towards a certain direction. I have in fact recommended Mathew to a work colleague who is also thinking of taking their pension in the near future and would have no problem recommending Mathew and his firm to my family members. If in the future I require further assistance I would have no hesitation in using his services.
