A little bit about James

I am a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who is keen to build my financial advice business and client base. I have an extensive knowledge of the financial sector having worked in this industry since 2005. My aims as a self employed adviser are to help as many people as possible achieve their financial goals and provide a first class customer service. By doing that I can build up my business and succeed and learn more along the way. Building and maintaining key relationships is important to me and is something I continue to do in order to build networks across the financial sector.

Aim to maximise your cash savings

It might shock you to know that 28% of people hold their cash in interest-free savings accounts(1), receiving no return on their hard-earned money. Because under current rules a basic rate taxpayer can earn up to £1,000 in interest from their savings without paying tax, these people could be missing out on a significant financial boost that they could be enjoying.

This is even more relevant when you consider that the average person typically holds up to 25% of their available money on cash deposit(2). So, by reviewing your cash and tackling any ‘lazy money’, you’ll be making a great start at getting your finances in shape and achieving longer-term financial security.

If your money isn’t working as hard as it could, I can help. By making it easy to access potentially better interest rates, I can help you to aim to maximise your cash savings – giving you more money to spend on the things you enjoy or helping you grow your money towards a longer-term goal.

RC

I highly recommend James Durey from Scotland. He reviewed life cover and pensions for myself and my husband. Being in our 50s it was good to know where we stand and that our three teenage children will be well looked after financially should anything happen to us. James is thorough, efficient and helpful.

My main aim is to help people achieve their financial goals through long lasting relationships. As a family man with a wife and three young children under the age of 8, I understand personally the importance of long term planning, especially around protection needs.

I have worked through the Quilter network as a self employed adviser for the past 10 years achieving great customer outcomes as well as running my own business successfully.

I feel if I can help people to put plans in place around long term pension and investment planning, mortgages and having the right protection in place that bring great peace of mind and off the back of that, you can concentrate on other areas, including a good work/life balance and do the things you enjoy. Which if like me would be family time, walking the dog, playing golf, watching football or whatever your interests and hobbies may be.
