Life First, Numbers Second
Financial planning is about far more than money. It's about having the freedom to focus on the people, experiences and ambitions that matter most to you.
My technical grounding comes from a First Class Honours degree in Economics and the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning from the Chartered Insurance Institute. While these qualifications provided a strong technical foundation, it was the opportunity to apply that knowledge to people's lives that attracted me to financial planning.
Money sits behind many of life's most important decisions: retiring comfortably, supporting family, growing a business or leaving a legacy. Having a clear plan can make those decisions feel less overwhelming and more achievable. Helping a client move from feeling uncertain to feeling in control is the part of this job I find most rewarding.
As a husband and father, I think regularly about many of the same questions my clients face. Providing for the people who depend on you, protecting your family's future and making the right financial decisions are responsibilities I understand personally as well as professionally.
I provide holistic financial planning across a range of areas, including:
• Retirement and Pension Planning
• Investment and Wealth Management
• Tax-Efficient Financial Planning
• Estate and Inheritance Planning
• Personal and Family Protection
• Financial Planning for Business Owners
My approach is built around understanding what matters to you before making any recommendation. Every client's circumstances are different, so the advice I give reflects your specific goals and priorities. Plans don't stand still, so neither do we. I stay close to your situation and revisit the advice as your life changes.
Away from work, most of my time goes to my wife, my son and our wider family and friends. When I get the chance, I enjoy playing football, watching live sport and reading. It's how I switch off, recharge and keep perspective.
Too many people feel their finances are something to worry about rather than something working in their favour. My aim is to give clients clear, straightforward advice and a plan they actually understand, so every conversation ends with you knowing what we're doing, why we're doing it and how it supports your goals. Done well, financial planning should reduce uncertainty and give you the confidence to focus on living the life you want.
