Although I have always had a deep interest in investing, personal finance, and trading, I have not always worked in the financial services industry. After graduating, I spent the first twenty years of my career working as a freelance IT consultant, before finally deciding to jump ship to follow my true passion and retrain in financial services. As well as my degree, I now hold a Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma from the Chartered Institute For Securities & Investments (CISI). I initially worked as an investment director, writing articles about personal and alternative finance issues for independent financial publishers in the UK.
In addition, I also advised subscribers about specific cash flow producing opportunities and ran regulated trading services utilising equities and stock options. Realising that I wanted to help people more directly, I established a training company to teach retail investors how to invest for income using stock options. This proved to be a great success and I worked personally with over 200 clients to teach them the skills needed.
However nowadays, my full focus is directed towards working with my clients to help them achieve their retirement, investment, and protection goals through bespoke financial planning.
I believe that my life experience, extensive financial knowledge, and an ability to truly understand a client's needs, are a winning combination. I live in beautiful North Yorkshire and am married with a young daughter.
When not working I enjoy walking, snowboarding, sailing, travelling, and socialising with friends and family.
