A little bit about George

As a former energy sector analyst who advised top-level management, I specialize in untangling complex problems. Today, I bring that same strategic expertise on a more personal level: helping you build a secure, resilient financial future. We don't often talk about money in this country, but my goal is to make planning your future straightforward, giving you absolute clarity and confidence in your financial decisions. I can't promise that the markets will always go up, but I can promise to always make time for you, to leave jargon at the door and to always put you and your family's interests first.

Coming into a sum of money can be exciting and overwhelming at the same time, especially if it’s sudden or unexpected. And while you’re trying to process all the emotions involved, you’ll probably have to make some important financial decisions as well.

Whether you’ve received an inheritance, a windfall, or a lump sum from work, having an adviser to help guide you and make a sensible plan can take away some of the stress and worry so you can focus on the benefits.

I can help you understand all the different options available to you, taking advantage of any allowances so your money works as tax-efficiently as possible.

I can also help you adjust your financial plans or make completely new ones by showing you how the choices you make today could impact your future.

Together, we can put your money to work in a way that helps you feel confident about the future.

George is based in Chippenham and offers expert financial advice to suit your needs.

Financial planning can often feel like an intimidating exercise, especially since we rarely talk openly about money in this country. But at its core, good financial planning isn't about complex jargon, pushing products, or spreadsheets (although I do like a good spreadsheet!). It is simply about giving you the clarity, confidence, and freedom to build the life you actually want to be living.

My approach to advice is grounded, practical, and entirely centred around your life. Before stepping into financial planning, I was an analyst in the energy sector, where I earned a PhD and advised top-level management on corporate strategies. I enjoyed the challenge of untangling complicated problems, but my perspective shifted as my family grew. I realized I wanted to use my analytical experience for something more meaningful: helping you navigate your own major life decisions and build a secure, resilient future. Quilter's core mission - to create brighter financial futures for every generation - is really closely aligned with my own reasons for making this career pivot.

Whether you are laying the groundwork for your family’s future, navigating a career pivot, or preparing for a comfortable retirement, my job is to translate complex tax rules and investment strategies into a straightforward, actionable plan.

Outside of work, my life in Chippenham revolves around my wife (who, as a psychologist, regularly reminds me that money is about human behaviour, not just maths!) and our young daughter. To recharge, you will usually find me logging miles on the local running routes or at the climbing wall.
