A little bit about Deepak

I’ve spent over 10 years in financial planning, starting as a paraplanner before moving into an adviser role. Along the way, I’ve built a strong blend of technical knowledge and real‑life client experience, supported by more than five years as a qualified Financial Planner. I genuinely enjoy helping people feel confident about their finances, and my approach is friendly, thoughtful and supportive, with a focus on what truly matters to each client.

Could you be more financially savvy this tax year?

Graphic of people planning their investments

March, and spring more generally, is often a time for fresh starts. And now your tax allowances are getting one too. The new tax year begins on 6 April, giving you time to plan how you’ll use all those new allowances to your advantage.

Take your ISA allowance. It can be tempting to leave it until the last minute to use it up. But, if you’re able to pay into it at the beginning of the year, you’re potentially getting a whole extra 12 months of time for your savings to grow.

A review right at the start of the tax year, or just before it, can also help us spot if there are any tax incentives you could use throughout the year.

You might be surprised just how many people don’t do this - and miss out on money that’s rightfully theirs. These tax incentives can be things like increasing your pension contributions or charitable giving to help offset your income tax.

I can also draw up a cashflow model to bring this to life. The model allows us to explore and compare different strategies and scenarios, so you can see the difference it will make to your long-term finances and goals.

If you want to find out more about the savvy financial strategies I could help you with this tax year, feel free to get in touch.

Diploma for Financial Advisers

  • The Diploma for Financial Advisers from the London Institute of Banking and Finance is the primary award for financial planners that develops core technical understanding across a broad range of key financial planning areas.

I began my journey in financial planning over a decade ago, starting out as a paraplanner where I developed a solid technical grounding and learned the importance of clear, client‑focused advice. After several years supporting advisers, I moved into a trainee adviser role and continued to grow through hands‑on client work, mentoring, and ongoing professional development.

For over five years, I’ve been a qualified Financial Planner, combining my technical expertise with practical experience to help clients feel informed, supported and confident about their long‑term financial plans. I take pride in offering advice that feels personal, thoughtful and easy to understand, and I’m committed to being someone clients can rely on at every stage of their journey.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. Keeping fit and balanced is also important to me, and I regularly practise yoga and meditation to stay focused and energised. This mix of family time, creativity and wellbeing helps me bring a calm, positive approach to my work with clients.
