Quilter App support: Android users

Important advice for Quilter App users with Android devices

We’re aware that some Android device users are experiencing login difficulties when attempting to access the Quilter App. We’re sorry if you are affected by this, and our technical teams are working hard to resolve this as quickly as possible.

There are steps you can take yourself, which we know have helped other customers like you.

The following instructions are for the latest Android version (version 15). These steps may be slightly different if you’re using an older version, but they will be similar.

Step 1: Clear the storage and cache for the Quilter App

1. Press and hold the Quilter app icon.

When menu options appear, press the ‘i’. This will open 'App info'.

2. Once in ‘App info’, scroll down until you see ‘Storage’.

This may look different on other Android devices as shown above.

3. Select ‘Clear data’ or ‘Clear storage, then ‘Delete.

This may look different on other Android devices as shown above.

4. If done correctly, you’ll see both ‘Data’ and ‘Cache’ information now show ‘0 B’.

Example shown above.

5. Then, return to 'App info' and select 'Force stop'.

Choose 'ok'.

6. You’ll notice the icon for ‘Force stop’ is now greyed out.

You have successfully completed step 1.

Step 2: Delete and reinstall the Quilter App

1. Stay in ‘App info’, and select ‘Uninstall’, then ‘OK’.

You have now successfully deleted the app.

2. Access the Play Store and reinstall the Quilter App.

Log in with your usual username and password.

If you continue to experience issues logging in, then you can also access your online account by simply logging into the Quilter online Customer Centre - www.quilter.com/login. Just use the same log-in details as you would on the Quilter App.
