Having spent over 10 years in customer-facing roles while quietly developing what I can only describe as a private obsession with personal finance, I'm now lucky enough to combine the two for a living.
I studied the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning full time through the Quilter Academy, passing every exam first time. I'll be honest — I'd always found long periods of study difficult in the past, but when the subject is something you genuinely care about it's a different thing entirely. A lot of late nights, but worth every one.
Financial planning has never felt more complicated or more important. There's more information out there than ever before, and more misinformation too. Knowing where to start — and who to trust — is half the battle. That's where I come in. My goal is simple: to be the person you feel confident picking up the phone to, whatever the question. Whether you want to protect your income, grow your wealth, or start planning for retirement, I want to be your one stop shop for financial advice.
So how does it actually work? That part's up to you. I know life gets busy, so I try to make good financial advice as accessible as possible. If you want to meet over a coffee on your lunch break, somewhere local to you, or virtually after the kids are in bed — all of that works for me. What doesn't change is the quality of the advice, just the way it's delivered. I'll always try to keep things jargon-free, and I'll always treat you as an individual — because the right financial plan for you won't look the same as it does for anyone else.
My aim is that everyone I sit down with leaves feeling like they've learned something and feeling more confident about their own financial decisions.
Outside of work, my wife and I are kept very busy by two wonderful boys and a chocolate Labrador with far too much energy — so most of our spare time involves pram pushing, scooter chasing, or frisbee throwing. If we do manage to carve out a bit of time for ourselves we love travelling and finding new places to eat. And I play golf — badly, but enthusiastically.
