We engage with a select group of high-quality asset managers who manage many of the Quilter Investors funds on our behalf. These are called sub-advised funds and provide us with flexibility to refine the investment strategy of the fund to reflect a desired customer objective.
The transparency that comes with the use of sub-advised funds also allows us sight of every single trade and deal placed by the manager. This gives us the ability to review how the fund is being managed and to ensure that the manager is sticking to the objective they’ve been given.
These sub-advised funds are also subject to ongoing oversight and governance to provide investors with added confidence. This governance framework allows us to make changes to the funds as and when they are required.
While the managers i of the sub-advised funds are chosen with a long-term view, our process has the flexibility to add, replace, or remove managers where necessary. We will make a change if we believe that a new manager is better able to deliver on the objective of the sub-advised fund and that switching the manager will better meet expectations.
Quilter Investors has decided to change the asset managers on the below sub-advised funds since 2020.
