£30,000 awarded to four inspiring charities through our Local Community Fund

After successfully launching the Local Community Fund in February, Quilter’s charity The Quilter Foundation received a multitude of compelling charity nominations from Quilter colleagues for a range of worthwhile causes across the country.

The Foundation team carefully deliberated and reviewed each charity application, and have awarded £30,000 among the following charities:

Healing Waves

Jersey

Healing Waves enables individuals despite their condition and/or disability both neurological and physical to access the ocean in a safe way to participate in water sport activities. This is so they can experience the therapeutic benefits that the ocean holds for us all.

Rose Road Association

Southampton

The Rose Road Association provides direct care services including respite breaks, community outreach, holiday activities and advice for over 300 children and young adults with severe physical disabilities, learning difficulties, and/or autism.

Charlie Waller Trust

Nationwide

The Charlie Waller Trust is a mental health charity that works with young people to help them understand their own mental health, to equip them to support themselves and those around them, and to empower them to talk more openly about their wellbeing.

The Moving on Project

Fareham/Gosport

The Moving on Project provide quality and confidential counselling to help improve the emotional health and wellbeing of young people aged between 11-25 in Fareham, Gosport and surrounding areas.

Thank you to all colleagues who have nominated a charity for the Local Community Fund, we thoroughly enjoyed hearing of the amazing work these charities do and are looking forward to the next quarter of nominations.
