Date: 06 May 2026

2 minute read

This summer, you can take part in one of the UK’s most iconic guided walks – the Cross Bay walk from Arnside to Grange.

Led by the Kings Official Guide to the Sands, Michael Wilson, you’ll trek across shimmering sand, shallow water channels and breathtaking landscapes – all while raising funds for local charities via The Quilter Foundation’s Brighter Together Fund.

Event details

Date: Saturday 20 June

Start time: TBC

Distance: Approx 5-7 miles

Fundraising target: We want to beat what we raised last year and have set a collective target of £5,000.

Entry donation: All participants must pay £10 to secure their place. All donations can be made via the central JustGiving page - Cross Bay Walk 2026 - JustGiving

This walk is suitable for most fitness levels – but you must be physically fit enough to complete the distance. The pace is steady and will take around 3-4 hours to complete.

You are also welcome to bring your family members (please ensure they have also signed up) and dogs are welcome too!

How to join?

Organising the event is Annabel Lumsden, director and financial adviser (TP Financial Solutions). Annabel says:

“Having spent the last couple of years getting involved with the Foundation and working with some of the charities it supports, we are delighted to be bringing a big fundraiser to the North West. Last year’s event was a great success, especially as it was our first and this year, we’re aiming to make it even bigger and better. We can’t wait to see Morecambe Bay awash with Quilter Foundation green and for our colleagues, clients and friends to enjoy this amazing event while raising money for the Foundation.”

We look forward to having you join us on this iconic event.
