Temporary non-dealing of funds – Japan Silver Week and China Golden Week  

Japan Silver Week: Monday 21 September to Wednesday 23 September
China Golden Week: Thursday 1 October to Wednesday 7 October

During Japan’s Silver Week and China’s Golden Week celebrations, funds with material exposure to these markets may have non-dealing days. If you instruct a trade involving an affected fund, a ‘trade in progress’ will be created and your instruction will be temporarily paused while the fund manager is not dealing.

Once dealing recommences, your trade will be processed at the next available dealing point. For Japan Silver Week, trades placed after the cut-off on Friday 18 September may be held over; for China Golden Week, this may apply to trades placed after the cut-off on Wednesday 30 September. Exact non-dealing dates may vary by fund, depending on whether the underlying assets are listed on the relevant stock exchanges in Japan or China.

If you hold affected funds and want to avoid an extended trading cycle, you may wish to wait until the fund managers begin trading again before instructing any switches or model portfolio rebalances.
