I want someone I trust to act on my behalf

There are lots of reasons why you could want a trusted third party to be able to deal with us on your behalf.

This might be a relative, a friend, or someone acting in a professional capacity such as a solicitor.

There are several levels of support that can be put in place, ranging from someone talking on the phone with us while you’re with them, all the way to granting the power to make decisions about your investment.

Giving Quilter permission to discuss your investment with a trusted person

If you want to give permission to us to discuss your investment with a trusted person, either on the phone or in writing, you may want to look at our Release of Information page for more details of how to set this up. Release of Information can be set up quickly and easily, and while it grants access they will not be able to make any changes or withdraw money from your investment. The authority can be removed at your request at any time.

If you are looking into a more complete level of support then it might make sense to look at our Power of Attorney page. A Power of Attorney grants the ability to instruct investment changes and withdrawals, and should be a very carefully considered decision.
