When will a trust be regarded as a financial institution?

A trust will be a financial institution where the trust is professionally managed, for example where a firm of solicitors or a corporate trustee is appointed to act as trustee, or where the trustees have appointed a Discretionary Fund Manager to manage the assets under the trust.
