Helping you support your clients
Anyone who has been made redundant will probably say it’s an emotional time. While some people relish the opportunity a fresh start can bring, there are others who find it tougher to deal with. And if your affected client is an expat, they could have the added stress of potentially having to relocate to another country within short timescales. Alongside financial concerns, there’s the impact it can have on your client’s feeling of self-worth.
As you will know, mental wellbeing is an area that Quilter feels passionately about. While you as an adviser can help your clients deal with the financial implications of redundancy, it’s important to help them with the emotional fallout of redundancy too, and can help build trust between you and your clients.
To help you help your clients who may find themselves in this situation, we have gathered some resources which you may like to share with them, or even find useful yourself.
