Spend wisely and save smartly

June can be one of the best months of the year with summer well and truly on the way. But with all those holidays, weddings, anniversaries, and other spending, it can also be one of the most expensive too.

While you should be focusing on the present, it’s also important to be aware of how major outlays now can have a significant impact on your financial security in later life. A cashflow model can give you a clear picture of the consequences your spending and saving can have on your future.

It’s also good to know about the ways you can use your tax-free allowances wisely on certain expenditures. For example, your gifting allowances can let you pass on up to £3,000 a year to your loved ones without it being added to the value of your estate.*

Together, we can make a plan to help you live your life to the full now, while still having the retirement you want later on.

Terence is located in Paisley and offers expert financial advice to suit your needs.

Here’s where I can help. When you’re managing work, family and everything in between, it’s easy for your finances to slip to the bottom of the list. I help you get the essentials in place. Starting with the right protection, so that if something unexpected happens, your family is financially secure. From there, we focus on building your wealth in a way that actually fits your life, whether that’s planning for your own future or supporting your dependants through the milestones ahead.

I’ll work with you to map out the retirement you want and check you’re on track to reach it. And when it comes to passing on what you’ve built, I’ll guide you through doing it in a clear, tax‑efficient way that protects your family and reflects your wishes.

My job is simple. To cut through the noise, make the numbers make sense, and give you a plan you can trust. Today, tomorrow, and long term.

Outside of work, I’m an avid traveller with a particular passion for cruise travel. Through previous roles, I’ve had the opportunity to work at sea and sail across all seven continents, gaining a broad perspective and a wealth of insight along the way. It’s also left me with more stories than I can ever fit into one conversation. The kind that tends to come out over a coffee and usually end with a laugh or an “I never knew that.
