Spend wisely and save smartly

June can be one of the best months of the year with summer well and truly on the way. But with all those holidays, weddings, anniversaries, and other spending, it can also be one of the most expensive too.

While you should be focusing on the present, it’s also important to be aware of how major outlays now can have a significant impact on your financial security in later life. A cashflow model can give you a clear picture of the consequences your spending and saving can have on your future.

It’s also good to know about the ways you can use your tax-free allowances wisely on certain expenditures. For example, your gifting allowances can let you pass on up to £3,000 a year to your loved ones without it being added to the value of your estate.*

Together, we can make a plan to help you live your life to the full now, while still having the retirement you want later on.

I am a financial planner with a specialist interest in making financial services more accessible to investors of all ages.

I want more people to feel empowered by their finances, rather than confused by them. I believe strongly that a well-structured financial plan can support wider lifetime goals and ambitions, and I spend time getting to know clients before making any recommendations, in order to understand their aims and objectives.

With a strong focus on financial advice for women, I understand the financial gaps and life events that disproportionately affect women - from career breaks and caring responsibilities to juggling multiple roles and longer life expectancy. My advice is tailored to real life, not just spreadsheets.

I am also known for debunking financial myths and making complex topics easier to understand. Clients say they appreciate my ability to explain pensions, ISAs, investment portfolios, and protection planning in clear, simple language.

Away from my desk, I love spending time with my (rapidly growing) children and husband, writing fiction, and making endless attempts to return to running.
