A little bit about Nathan

I am a Financial Adviser based in the RG41 and KT7 areas, working in financial services since 2014. I don’t pretend to have seen everything, but I’ve seen enough to know that good financial planning doesn’t need to be complicated. I work with Quilter Financial Advisers, part of a FTSE 250 company, advising on pensions, investments and protection - clear plans, sensible decisions, and advice designed to hold up over time.

Could you be more financially savvy this tax year?

Graphic of people planning their investments

March, and spring more generally, is often a time for fresh starts. And now your tax allowances are getting one too. The new tax year begins on 6 April, giving you time to plan how you’ll use all those new allowances to your advantage.

Take your ISA allowance. It can be tempting to leave it until the last minute to use it up. But, if you’re able to pay into it at the beginning of the year, you’re potentially getting a whole extra 12 months of time for your savings to grow.

A review right at the start of the tax year, or just before it, can also help us spot if there are any tax incentives you could use throughout the year.

You might be surprised just how many people don’t do this - and miss out on money that’s rightfully theirs. These tax incentives can be things like increasing your pension contributions or charitable giving to help offset your income tax.

I can also draw up a cashflow model to bring this to life. The model allows us to explore and compare different strategies and scenarios, so you can see the difference it will make to your long-term finances and goals.

If you want to find out more about the savvy financial strategies I could help you with this tax year, feel free to get in touch.

Nathan is based in Wokingham and offers expert financial advice to suit your needs.

My approach to advice is simple: put the client first, always. That means listening before recommending, explaining before acting, and building plans that reflect real lives - not just financial models.

I believe good financial planning should provide clarity and confidence, not complexity. My role is to help clients understand their options around pensions, investments and protection, make informed decisions, and stay on track as circumstances change. Advice isn’t a one-off event - it’s an ongoing relationship built on trust, transparency, and consistency over time.

Financial Adviser based in the RG41 area and serving clients across Wokingham, KT6, KT7 and KT10, with experience in financial services since 2014. I provide restricted advice through Quilter Financial Advisers, who are part of a FTSE 250 company, advising on pensions, investments and protection with a focus on long-term outcomes.

Since entering the profession, I’ve worked across restricted, independent, appointed representative and directly authorised firms. This breadth of experience has shaped a practical, client-focused approach to financial planning - one that values clarity, structure and long-term thinking. I hold the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (CII) and place strong emphasis on doing the fundamentals well.

I’m particularly motivated by helping people make confident decisions with their finances, especially when those decisions feel complex or unfamiliar. I’m passionate about financial education and believe advice should empower clients to understand their plans, not just sign off on them.

Before starting my career, I rowed at a high level for many years and was a Henley Royal Regatta finalist. That experience instilled a competitive mindset and an appreciation for discipline, preparation and consistency - principles that translate directly into effective financial planning and long-term wealth building.

Outside of work, I enjoy training on Zwift, watching live sport, gaming, and spending quality time with my family. Building strong financial foundations for my own family reinforces why I care so deeply about helping others do the same - supporting clients in Wokingham, Surbiton, Thames Ditton, Kingston and surrounding areas as they plan for the future with confidence.
