Aim to maximise your cash savings

It might shock you to know that 28% of people hold their cash in interest-free savings accounts(1), receiving no return on their hard-earned money. Because under current rules a basic rate taxpayer can earn up to £1,000 in interest from their savings without paying tax, these people could be missing out on a significant financial boost that they could be enjoying.

This is even more relevant when you consider that the average person typically holds up to 25% of their available money on cash deposit(2). So, by reviewing your cash and tackling any ‘lazy money’, you’ll be making a great start at getting your finances in shape and achieving longer-term financial security.

If your money isn’t working as hard as it could, I can help. By making it easy to access potentially better interest rates, I can help you to aim to maximise your cash savings – giving you more money to spend on the things you enjoy or helping you grow your money towards a longer-term goal.

Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning

  • The Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning from the Chartered Insurance Institute develops core technical and initial financial planning understanding.

My work centres on one simple question: How can I help you?

People reach out to me when their finances feel unclear — whether they have lots of moving parts and aren’t sure how they fit together, or they sense that something important might be missing. Pensions, investments, savings, budgeting, protection, tax allowances, business and personal finances… it can be hard to see how each piece connects. I help you step back and understand the whole picture, including how to structure things well for your family now - and for those who one day will inherit from you. Then we build a plan together that fits where you are now and where you want to go.

I’m a qualified financial planner with a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS), accredited through the Chartered Insurance Institute. What drives me is using my technical knowledge in a way that makes financial decisions clearer and more manageable for my clients.

Before moving into financial planning, I spent a decade in financial services - from corporate bonds to building and running my own business. That experience shaped my approach: staying calm, keeping things practical, and translating complexity into clarity so clients feel confident about their choices.

I support clients through every stage of life - from starting out and building financial foundations, to raising a family, preparing for retirement, and planning their legacy. I also work closely with business owners, helping align personal and business goals, structure income tax efficiently, protect the business, and plan for succession or exit.

Clients can expect a proactive and personal service. I work with clients both face to face, when practical, and remotely for convenience and flexibility.

Fun facts about me:

I started my early career in urban planning, which gave me an appreciation for how good structure and long-term planning shapes good outcomes. I’m also a qualified personal trainer and nutrition coach - training and nutrition are a real passion of mine. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me in the gym, on a tennis court, or out on my motorbike.
