Have you considered the importance of estate planning?

Many people don’t realise that inheritance tax (IHT) can apply once your estate goes over £325,000, although some people may also benefit from an additional residence nil rate band when passing on a home to direct descendants. This includes property, money, investments, and everyday belongings, and from April 2027, unused pension savings may also form part of your estate for inheritance tax. This can affect how much of your wealth is ultimately passed on to the people who matter most.

Estate planning helps ensure your wishes are followed and that as much of your estate as possible passes to the people you choose. However, the rules around inheritance tax can be complex and lots of people don’t understand how allowances apply or what their tax position will be.

That’s where I can help. I can help you to get a clear picture of the value of your taxable estate, explore ways to manage or reduce any tax liability and put a long-term plan in place that fits your goals and circumstances.

If you’d like to take control of your legacy, let’s talk about how I can support you.

Karl is located in Stanley and offers expert financial advice to suit your needs.

I have over 17 years experience of being self employed within the sales and retail Industry primarily within the home furnishings sector, operating retail outlets throughout the northeast. Pension and investment planning can sometimes be pushed aside, along with protection.

I have also been in property investment since 2017, I understand the challenges that can come along with both of these. Within my time in retail I always enjoyed the time spent with customers on a day to day basis and I now get to do that daily helping people with any financial matters they may have.

I have always had a passion for finance and spent a lot of time educating myself to make sure I was preparing for the future. I now use that experience to help others who may be unsure on where to go next

Out side of work me and my partner spend a lot of time on the beautiful Northumberland coastline with our little dog Bailey, usually shouting for him to come back or to stop rolling in the sand.

I am also a big fan of Newcastle united which comes with its own set of challenges.
