Financial Adviser DipPFS in Mill Hill, London

A little bit about Jonathan

Before moving into financial advice, I spent a decade helping companies find the right office space so they could grow and achieve their goals. Today, as a financial adviser with Quilter, based in North London, I combine that practical experience with a genuine passion for helping people make sense of their finances. My focus is on understanding your situation, clarifying your goals, and helping you take confident steps toward a secure financial future, whether that’s planning for retirement, growing wealth, or protecting what matters most.

Gifts that give back

Graphic of people exchanging gifts

December is often seen as the gifting season. But alongside the usual socks and chocolate gold coins, it might be worth planning a slightly bigger, longer-term present for your loved ones this year.

Inheritance tax (IHT) is notoriously complicated and can hit people with a big bill if it isn’t managed properly. It isn’t reserved for the very wealthy either. Dealing with IHT is a reality that many more families face after a loved one has passed - in what is usually an extremely vulnerable moment.

This is where using your gifting allowances can make a real impact on those around you. It’s a great way to share your wealth with the people you love while limiting their exposure to IHT. It does take a little bit of extra planning though.

Sitting down with an adviser like me can help you figure out where you want your money to go, and when. For instance, it might be more helpful to gift a family member a contribution towards their first home now, rather than leaving them a legacy.

Whatever you decide is best, we’ll find the most tax efficient way to do it.

Jonathan is located in Mill Hill, London and offers expert financial advice to suit your needs.

Before becoming a financial adviser, I spent ten years working in commercial property, helping companies find the right office space to support their growth and ambitions. That experience taught me the importance of strategy, practical planning, and understanding individual needs, skills I now bring to my work with clients.

As a financial adviser with Quilter, I focus on helping people make informed decisions about their finances in a way that’s clear and achievable. I work with clients to understand their current situation, clarify what matters most to them, and develop practical plans that help them feel confident about the future. Whether it’s planning for retirement, managing property or business wealth, protecting your family, or preparing for life’s unexpected events, my aim is always to make the process straightforward and tailored to you.

I aim to be approachable and attentive, taking the time to listen and understand what matters most to each client. I explain financial concepts in easy to understand terms and focus on solutions that genuinely fit your life and goals, ensuring that advice feels practical, realistic, and meaningful.

Outside of work, I’m a father of three boys, an avid football fan, and over the past year I’ve discovered a real passion for padel. I enjoy spending quality time with my family and engaging in activities that challenge me and keep me active. I bring the same energy and focus to my work, helping clients feel confident, informed, and supported in shaping a financial future that’s right for them.
