A little bit about James

For over a decade, I have helped clients navigate important financial decisions, working as a financial and mortgage adviser for banks, building societies, and as an independent adviser. This experience has given me a broad understanding of the financial landscape and how Quilter's solutions compare across the wider market.

I am passionate about getting to know my clients and helping them create a personalised financial plan that supports their goals, both now and in the future.

Financial advice is about more than managing money

When people think about financial advice, they often think about investments. But financial advice can support a much wider range of decisions, helping you plan confidently for the future and make the most of the opportunities available to you.

More support than many people realise

More support than many people realise

New research commissioned by Quilter and conducted by Boring Money found that many people understand how advisers like me can help with investments, but are less aware of the wider support available through professional financial planning.

As an adviser, I may be able to help with:

  • retirement planning
  • tax planning opportunities
  • pension consolidation
  • estate and legacy planning
  • financial planning through major life events
  • managing investments through changing market conditions.

Building confidence in your financial future

Financial decisions can feel complex at times, particularly as circumstances, legislation, and markets change.

If we work together, I can help you:

  • gain clarity over your options
  • understand opportunities available to you
  • stay focused on long-term goals
  • build a clear financial plan
  • make informed decisions with confidence.

If this sounds good to you, please get in touch.

I believe in providing clear, honest guidance so that every client feels informed, reassured, and confident in their decisions.

My three meeting approach:

  • Discover – It’s all about you: your family, your situation, and what matters most to you.
  • Review & Planning – We explore your goals and priorities, take stock of your existing arrangements, and build a clear picture of where you're heading financially.
  • Recommend – We set out a tailored solution. Once it's in place, the focus shifts to ongoing monitoring, keeping everything on course so you stay on track to meet your objectives.

When I'm not working, you'll usually find me on the golf course, playing football, or out cycling. I have completed several charity cycling events throughout the UK and Europe and always enjoy the challenge of pushing myself while raising money for worthwhile causes.

My wife is Spanish which has helped me learn the language, and also understand the financial planning needs of those new to the UK.

What to expect

In advising you, I follow a simple and trusted 3 step process:

1. Free intro call to understand your needs

We will arrange a time to talk about your goals and plans.

2. Personalised plan

I'll prepare a tailored plan which always takes full account of your goals, and gives you the steps and expert support from me to get there. All explained simply.

3. On going check-ins, on your terms

I'll be there as your financial adviser to give you the support you need.
