Have you considered the importance of estate planning?

Many people don’t realise that inheritance tax (IHT) can apply once your estate goes over £325,000, although some people may also benefit from an additional residence nil rate band when passing on a home to direct descendants. This includes property, money, investments, and everyday belongings, and from April 2027, unused pension savings may also form part of your estate for inheritance tax. This can affect how much of your wealth is ultimately passed on to the people who matter most.

Estate planning helps ensure your wishes are followed and that as much of your estate as possible passes to the people you choose. However, the rules around inheritance tax can be complex and lots of people don’t understand how allowances apply or what their tax position will be.

That’s where I can help. I can help you to get a clear picture of the value of your taxable estate, explore ways to manage or reduce any tax liability and put a long-term plan in place that fits your goals and circumstances.

If you’d like to take control of your legacy, let’s talk about how I can support you.

I sat down with George and we did a full financial review. It quickly became clear that I was missing thousands of pounds of tax relief on my pension. We also discussed a more robust means of savings and investment.

Sylvia D

George delivered a clear and concise report with tailored guidance to support the preparation of a Will and financial planning for my Mum.

George took the time to thoroughly review all my existing financial products and how I was managing my money. After a detailed consultation, he recommended improvements where they could make a meaningful difference to my finances, and also reassured me about the areas I was already handling well. His advice was always backed by clear explanations, making it easy to understand the reasoning behind each recommendation. I felt confident and well-informed throughout the process.

Highly recommend George Searle for financial advice. He gave me great guidance on pensions, life insurance and setting up my finances in a way that gives me stability while still letting me enjoy everyday life. He also helped me put money aside for my pension as I’m planning to retire early. Really knowledgeable, practical advice and easy to talk to.

Alexandra

George was excellent! He answered questions about pensions (that I have been searching online for over the last few months) in about 15 minutes! I will definitely be in touch with him again in the future.

Olivia

George spoke clearly and was able to explain complex finance in clear terms without jargon. He helped me better understand my long terms goals, and thus how I could be structuring my finances to support these. He listens to what you say, and offers personalised advice. I would highly recommend.

David

I had a 45-minute call with George and came away with a much clearer understanding of my own financial setup, specially around tax, savings goals, and long-term wealth planning. After answering a couple of questions he got me to think far more clearly about what I wanted to achieve, and the steps necessary to get there. If you're considering pensions, savings, diversification or tax efficiency etc, I’d absolutely recommend reaching out. Thanks George!

Marcus

Excellent advice - I thought I was already quite savvy but he helped me to identify several gaps and proposed solutions. Highly recommend his services.
