Steven Levin

Chair

Steven is CEO of Quilter plc. He has deep industry knowledge, having worked in asset management, investments, platform and distribution roles. Steven joined the Group in 1998, the Executive Committee in 2011 and the Board in November 2022 when he was appointed as Chief Executive Officer. He has played a leading role in delivering several high-profile strategic initiatives for the Group, including the implementation of Quilter’s new investment platform and supporting the development of Quilter’s ESG proposition. As Head of Affluent, Steven focused on bringing Quilter’s Platform and Investment Solution businesses together to operate in a more customer centric manner with our Advice business. Steven’s broad industry and leadership experience allows him to effectively drive strategic delivery. Steven is a qualified Actuary and Chartered Financial Analyst.

Tim Childe

Treasurer

Tim is an executive at Quilter Cheviot, the investment management arm of Quilter plc. Tim has over 30 years’ experience in investment management and is a Chartered Fellow of Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments (CISI). Tim is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and also a member of the Foundation’s Investment Committee.

Penny Cole

Chief People Officer

Penny was appointed Chief People Officer in September 2021 and leads HR, Internal Communications and the Quilter Foundation. She brings extensive experience across all elements of HR including people strategy, cultural transformation, talent and succession, reward strategy and implementation, HR service model development, business transformation, mergers and acquisitions, development and implementation of diversity, equity and inclusion strategies and employee communications and engagement.

Prior to her current role Penny held multiple roles across the Group including People Transformation Director for our UK Platform, designing, developing, and implementing the externally recognised and multi award winning People Strategy – Hello Tomorrow. She was also Head of HR for our UK and International businesses and led culture change for the Group pre-Listing. She has worked across multiple jurisdictions and geographies and led significant complex people change.

Penny has worked in a diverse range of industries and sectors including Telecommunications, Third Sector and Financial Services. Penny is a Trustee of the Quilter Foundation.

Philippa Foster-Back CBE

Independent

Philippa began her career in Corporate Treasury and Finance, prior to her appointment as Director of the Institute of Business Ethics in 2001 from which she stepped down in April 2020.

Philippa was previously Group Treasurer at EMI Group, Group Finance Director at DC Gardner Group and Group Treasurer at Bowater after beginning her financial career at Citibank. Philippa has also held a number of trustee, major review committee and non-executive roles throughout her career. She is a past President of the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT).

In 2006 she was awarded the OBE for services to the Ministry of Defence in her capacity as NED and Chair of the Defence Audit Committee and in 2014 she was awarded the CBE for services to UK Antarctic Heritage. In 2018 she was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Law from University of Warwick and in 2020 an Honorary Doctorate of the Open University.

Stephen Gazard

Chief Distribution Officer

Stephen brings a wealth of corporate experience having held numerous senior leadership roles in the wealth management industry.  In addition Stephen has been actively involved in the charity sector on the Board of various Meningitis charities and is ideally placed to assist in driving the Foundation forward.

Sarah Dryden

Independent

Sarah Dryden is The London Foundation for Banking & Finance's (LFBF) Director of Research, where she leads a research agenda focused on financial capability. Recent publications include LFBF’s "Young Persons’ Money Index", measuring young peoples’ attitudes towards money, and “Accelerating Progress’”, mapping the landscape for financial capability initiatives across the UK and best practice approaches to enhance impact in this space.  Sarah is also an Honorary Visiting Fellow at Bayes Business School and an alumnus of Bayes’ Centre for Charity Effectiveness. Sarah is an expert in financial services, having spent nearly a decade working across the industry prior to moving into the charity sector, primarily advising asset and wealth managers on their ESG approaches, as well as their wider strategic agendas.

George Reid

Independent

George has extensive financial expertise having held senior Executive roles with Standard Life, as well as over 20 years in the accounting profession, including lengthy tenures at PwC and latterly as a Partner with EY, where he lead the Financial Services practice in Scotland and the UK regions. George is also an experienced Non Executive Director, having recently retired from the Board of Quilter plc after nine years service, and he currently chairs Fidelity International’s UK Workplace pensions business.

George is an experienced Charity Trustee, having spent twelve years on the Board of Children’s Hospices Across Scotland, the last four of which as Chairman.

He is passionate about the work of the Quilter Foundation and believes that financial education and awareness are vital life skills that the Foundation should play a valuable role in supporting.

Head of The Quilter Foundation

Jenni leads the Foundation’s strategy and oversees all programmes, ensuring we deliver on our mission to build brighter financial futures for every generation. She works with partners, colleagues and advisers to maximise impact at every level - from national initiatives to local grants.

Harvey Rathore

Partnerships Manager

Harvey drives the partnerships that power our mission, working with colleagues and advisers to inspire support across the business. She leads fundraising, volunteering and communications, and delivers our Financial Education in Schools programme to create meaningful, lasting impact in the communities we serve.

Chimdia Okpala

Partnerships Manager

Chimdia leads the Financial Futures Fund and Brighter Together Grants, advancing our aim to improve financial resilience. She works closely with partners and mobilises expertise across the business to ensure our funding delivers meaningful, lasting impact for people and communities.
