Jane Goodland is atypical of the fund management industry. She first came into the sector via a spell as an environmental consultant and that background had played throughout her career, through responsible investment roles at Henderson and HSBC.
Most recently, before joining Old Mutual Wealth, she was at Willis Towers Watson where she led the company's responsible investment initiative.
Before that, she attended a comprehensive school in West Sussex and gained a BSc from the University of Greenwich and then studied at Imperial College as a postgraduate.
Jane says she never anticipated taking this career route, but even when she first started in fund management 15 years ago she recognised the issue of the gender pay gap.
