Helping to address the advice gap
Today’s pension regime places responsibility on individuals to ensure they’re financially prepared for retirement. That’s why having access to financial advice is so critical, yet there are only around 23,000 qualified financial advisers in the UK. To meet this skills gap, Quilter runs The Financial Adviser School on a not-for-profit basis. Students on the programme come from all walks of life and include people embarking on a second career as well as younger people just starting out. Typically when new students join the programme they are placed in financial advice firms so they can combine their part-time studies with earning and gaining hands-on experience.
